Creative Teaching For Performers
What are lectures?
Lectures are one-time classes where we will teach anyone about our different shows, so that they can learn to perform their own.
There are four different lectures, which we have listed below.
Magic Through A Child's Eyes
David has been performing for children for over 20 years now, and, as you can imagine, he's learned much over the years about what captures their attention. In this lecture you can enjoy a live performance as you see exactly what he does during his shows. Once the performance is over, we'll re-trace the steps of these routines and discuss why they work so well. This lecture is great for the new performer as well as the seasoned professional. We can all learn something new to give our performances that little extra nudge to the next level.
A Clown Is Born
Kathleen has been performing as CoCo the Clown for many years now, and makes a large part of her income through it; so, how does she keep customers calling back year after year? In this lecture she will teach you the same things she has learned over time. This works particularly well in clown alleys.
Puppets On Parade
Puppets are quite popular among the young and old. A well-prepared presentation will open up many new doors for the right performer. The fact is, one you have leanred the basics, it's not hard at all. It even becomes fun. Take this lecture if you want to learn about puppetry and what it takes to be a puppeteer.
Story Telling
Story Tellers are always in demand. They can bring stories to life and present each one in different ways. Kathleen will show you the importance of a well-designed story. She's been doing this for a long time, and in her experience she has learned what works best. Once you know how to tell a good story you'll be amazed at how many programs will come your way.
Pricing
Our standard fee for a lecture is $295.00 plus mileage ($0.30/mile) and travel expenses.
You can call us at (716) 592-6351, or email me at lectures@mrjentertainment.com. We will discuss what the total expenses will come to. Oftentimes, we have a resource table available for your attendees. A standard 8-foot table is enough.
